Who we are

Balay is a booking platform for Philippine accommodation, operated by BitzStacks. Our customers are property owners ("you"). Your guests book stays on websites we host for you. For the guest data you process through the service — names, contact details, bookings, payment records — you are the Personal Information Controller and we act as your Personal Information Processor. Each property's own privacy notice, shown on its website, governs its guests; this page covers this marketing site and our role as processor.

This website

This site (balay.bitzstacks.com) is a static informational site. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. If you email us or request a demo or quotation, we keep that correspondence to respond to you — nothing more.

What the service stores for properties

  • Account data: names, email addresses and roles of the people you give console access to.
  • Guest and booking data: guest names, contact details, stay dates, bills, and payment records including uploaded payment screenshots — entered by you or by your guests when they book.
  • Property content: your rooms, rates, policies, photos and website content.
  • Technical data: standard logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How guest data is protected

  • Each property's data is isolated from every other property's, enforced at the database layer.
  • Payment screenshots are personal data: they are served only to authenticated members of the property that owns them, never cached publicly.
  • Guests can ask a property to export or erase their personal data; erasure anonymises the person while keeping the transaction record the law requires a business to retain.
  • We never sell data, and we never use one property's data for another's benefit.

Retention

Booking and billing records are retained for as long as your property uses the service, and as required by Philippine bookkeeping and tax rules. If you leave, we export your data for you on request and delete what we are not legally required to keep.
